Revenue automation is one of the many benefits of CurbWaste's feature offering! Using our automated credit card policy feature is a great way to handle your COD customers or those customers that want the simplicity of a charge that's on auto-pilot, so they don't have to remember to pay their bills. It's a win-win, they get the benefit of simplicity and you get paid in a more timely manner (and discover card charge failures in real-time as well). (Note: We do not recommend turning this on until you are comfortable with billing and have ensured the accuracy of your pricing. This will also require you to be using one of CurbWaste's merchant integrations and you will have to add a credit card on file to all customers assigned to these policies.)
How do I Set Up Automated Credit Card Payments?
Automated Credit Card Payments can be set up by configuring a Payment Policy, with Payment Method set as "Automated Credit Card" by following these steps:
- First, toggle to Settings > Payment Policies
- Configure Policy with required inputs and select "Automated Credit Card" as Payment Method
- Attach Policy to Customer Accounts that you would like automated payments configured on by visiting the Customer Page > Click into Customer > Add Payment Policy (Please note: credit cards can also be added on the order level as well to protect users from placing an order without a credit card)
- Attach Credit Card to Customer Accounts that you would like automated payments configured on by visiting the Customer Page > Click into Customer > Add Credit Card (Please note: credit cards can also be added on the order level as well to protect users from placing an order without a credit card)
- Once an Automated Credit Card Policy is attached to a customer the system will automatically run the customer’s credit card on file when the payment due date is reached on their invoices. (Please note: only the first invoice will be automatically charged, any invoices that occur after that first invoice such as overages, overloads, etc. will require users to charge by using the Receive Payment functionality)
