Swapping Assets

This functionality provides you with the flexibility to seamlessly swap assets as needed, making it easier to adapt to changing requirements or correct any mistakes without disrupting your workflow.

This can be done through Inventory Management:

  1. Navigate to the Inventory Management page.

  2. Enter the Order Number associated with the asset you want to swap.

  3. Use the Asset ID dropdown to select the new asset you wish to assign.

  4. You’ll then be prompted to choose what to do with the previous container.

    1. Available options include assigning it to a Yard, Truck, marking it as In-Use, or setting it as Unassigned.

Assigning Asset IDs in Reconcile

This scenario occurs when an asset is no longer associated with its original order. For example, this can happen if an asset already tied to one order is reassigned to another. In this case, you'll need to assign a new asset to the original order to replace the one that was removed.

To assign assets, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Inventory Management page and select the Reconcile tab.

  2. In the Assign Asset section, you’ll see a list of any orders that require asset assignment.

  3. Click on the Search & Select dropdown menu to assign an asset.

Allocating Assets in Reconcile

This may occur occasionally when an asset is not properly assigned elsewhere after an order is completed or removed. In such cases, simply assign the asset to a Yard, another order, or mark it as Unassigned.
