In CurbWaste, products are defined by either the size of the container being provided to the customer or the type of material being collected when no physical container is used. For instance, product examples include a 10 Yard Dumpster, a 2 Yard Slant Bin, Loose Yardage, a 1/2 Yard Container, as well as items like Mattresses and Bags.
During onboarding your implementation manager will build out all of the products that you offer using our Product Builder. However, if you find yourself needing to add new products post go-live you can follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > Products
- Go to the Size section and activate the size that you are looking for. For example if it was a 10 yard container you were trying to add, the size would be "10". If it doesn't exist, feel free to add a new size. If there is no size, you can use the dash (-).
- Go to the Unit of Measurement section and activate the unit of measurement that you are looking for. For example if it was a 10 yard container you were trying to add, the unit of measurement would be "yard". If it doesn't exist, feel free to add a new unit of measurement. If there is no unit of measurement, you can use the dash (-).
- Go to the Product Type section and activate the product type that you are looking for. For example if it was a 10 yard container you were trying to add, the product type would be "container". If it doesn't exist, feel free to add a new product type.
- After you have completed those steps toggle to the Product Builder Page
- Select the Size, Unit of Measurement, and Product Type
- Then add which services you'd like to apply this product to
- Click Add
- After Products have been added you can then create SKUs and Containers as well to make them functional within the system to utilize when placing orders and track your inventory
