CurbWaste Troubleshooting: How to Clear Cache & Hard Refresh Your Internet Browser

At CurbWaste, we are constantly releasing new features and fixing issues to improve the product and user experience for you. As a result, we will often ask you to...  

  1. clear your internet browser's cached data,
  2. perform a hard refresh of your browser window,
  3. and/or log out and log back into your CurbWaste account 
...in order to see the new changes reflected in your account. Doing so can provide several benefits, such as enhancing both the performance and security of your browsing experience. Please follow the instructions below on how to do perform these activities in your internet browser.

 

Clearing Cache of your Internet Browser

Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Clear browsing data.
  3. Choose a time range, like Last hour or All time.
  4. Check the box for "Cached images and files". You can leave the other selections unchecked. 
  5. Click Clear data.

Microsoft Edge

  1. On your computer, open Microsoft Edge .
  2. At the top right, click  Settings.
  3. Click Privacy, Search, and Services
  4. Under Clear browsing data, click "Choose What to Clear".
  5. Check the box for "Cached images and files". You can leave the other selections unchecked.   
  6. Click Clear Now

 

Hard Refresh

A hard refresh clears your browser cache for a specific page, which forces it to load the most recent version of that page. If you do not want to clear all of your browser cache, this is the next best option. 

Chrome

  • Windows users: hold down Ctrl and then press F5 on your keyboard
  • Mac users: hold down Cmd and Shift and then press R on your keyboard

Microsoft Edge

  • Windows users: hold down Ctrl and then press F5 on your keyboard
  • Mac users: hold down Cmd and Shift and then press R on your keyboard
