Automated Delivery Fee for Dumpsters

Do you charge a delivery fee for your dumpster orders that is different from your usual service fee? Do you bill your customers on pickups but also charge a nominal delivery fee for the initial delivery of the first container?


With Automated Delivery Fees for Dumpsters, the system will generate a delivery fee invoice for you no matter if you bill your customers Upon Order, Upon Service, or Upon Completion. 

 

Setup

Go to Settings → Additional Charges and create an additional charge. Select Delivery Fee as the Charge Type and input a rate. Then, attach this additional charge to your desired price list(s).

 

How Delivery Fees Work

Payment Policy of Order When does Delivery Fee invoice generate? Date Billing Frequency
Upon Order When order is created Delivery date All: Line item is added to service invoice
Upon Service When order is completed by driver or dispatch Delivery date All: Line item is added to service invoice
Upon Completion When order is completed by driver or dispatch Delivery date

Each Transaction: Standalone invoice

Periodic: On the periodic invoice that corresponds with the delivery date

Example

Customer's Payment Policy: Each Transaction, Upon Completion

  1. You create a new delivery order for this customer with the Delivery Fee added. 
  2. No invoice generates after the order is created as expected.
  3. You dispatch this order to your driver. 
  4. The driver completes the order. 
  5. The system generates a standalone Delivery Fee invoice that can be found in the Needs Review tab.
