In the Driver App, you'll notice Drivers have the ability to select both 'Unable To Complete' and 'Unable To Dump'. Let's break down the difference between the two!
Unable To Complete
Sometimes a driver will not be able to complete an Order, for example the container is blocked, there was an accident, breakdown or some other reason. If this is the case, they would select Unable to Complete.
At which point they will be asked whether they are returning later or not.
If they select yes to returning later, the job stays on their schedule and move back to a pending status.
If they select no, they will be asked for the reason they could not complete with an option to add a photo. The order will then move to Unassigned section for that same day. The notes and photos entered by the driver can be viewed on dispatch.
Unable to Dump
When a Driver removes a container, sometimes they will not be able to dump the container. This might be due to rejection at the dump or the dump being closed. In this instance, they would select Unable To Dump. As you can see in the screenshots below, they would select this option with the following steps;
1. Unable to Dump
2. Indicate the reason they were unable to dump
3. They will be asked if they will be returning later. If yes the task will return to their list. If no, they will select the Yard they will return to and the Order will show complete under the Driver. There will still be a Disposal task in Unassigned under Disposal Tasks.
For any Disposal Tasks remaining, it's important to note they will still need to be completed in order to free up Inventory. Depending on your Inventory setup (Serialized or Non-Serialized Inventory) any incomplete Disposal Tasks may lock up your inventory. Disposal Tasks also contain helpful information such as Location, Asset, Time, etc. You can hover over the blue icon or use the 3 dots to 'View'.
